Year 8 Jayden Beveridge Wins Film Festival
Year 8 student Jayden Beveridge has been awarded first prize in the 2009 Scitech Animation Film Festival in the Years 8-10 category for his two minute animated feature, Apocalypse.
Entrants to the Film Festival were invited to create an animation film clip that related to the theme of ‘Space’, which was chosen to celebrate the 2009 International Year of Astronomy. The clips could be constructed in any animation format, including stop motion, flash, 3D and PowerPoint, however they were required to have a running time of no more than two minutes.
Jayden’s entry was screened along with the other five most outstanding productions in a red carpet showcase evening in the Planetarium at Scitech on the evening of 23 September 2009.
