Newman Sports Assoc

The Association was formed in 1985 with the building of the Newman Sports Complex which overlooks the sporting grounds at Newman College, Marcellin Campus.

This gave the founder clubs club rooms and a base from which to operate. With the building of the Newman Physical Education Centre in 1991, the number of member clubs grew to nine. The Sports Complex is funded by a yearly levy on each of the member clubs and was paid out in 2003.

The Association enjoys excellent training and competition facilities for all its member clubs. All of the clubs are community based, inviting participation not only from Newman College students, Newman feeder schools and ex students, but also people from the wider community. The College and the Association believe in the philosophy of sharing its facilities and making full use of them.

We encourage students of Newman College and its feeder schools to play for clubs within the Newman Sports Association. This allows you to make full use of the facilities and help develop school teams.
