Parent Involvement
As Family is one of the Foundations of the Marist philosophy, it is fitting that the parents of Newman College are welcomed and encouraged to be active participants in the education of their children. The parents are great supporters of the College and the staff.
The parents are involved at a number of levels including:
- Classroom rosters
- Special classroom projects
- Parent programs in supporting Literacy
- Library support
- Canteen rosters
- Excursion supervision
- PALS (Parents Assisting in Literacy Scheme)
- School Volunteer Program
- Class Parent Representatives
- Parents and Friends Association
- Parents Auxiliary
- Year Book Development
- Chess Club
- Newman Sports Association
