Support & Extension

Newman College seeks ways to develop the potential of all students. The Curriculum Support and Extension Team works with the College community, including parents, to provide consultation, assessment, planning and referral services for students with a variety of learning and special needs.

These teachers work in a number of different ways such as: providing direct service delivery to students, consulting with and supporting class teachers with curriculum differentiation, coordinating the individual planning process and liaising with the Catholic Education Office in areas such as assessment and funding applications.

Further assistance is provided by external agencies such as Therapy Focus and is coordinated through the Support Centre.
